  • Duration: 2 hours
  • 4 guests maximum
  • Price from: $85

Experience expressionist painting and meditation with me, and discover your inner artist!

You will learn to combine a series of painting styles to create your own expressive artwork and you will learn the basics in meditation. A unique combination I regularly use to find the strength and focus to carry out my passion and exploring the relationship between colour, space, and memory.

You will be guided in meditation before the painting session begins so that you can learn to eliminate the hamster which prevents us from tapping into our inner self. Achieving peace of mind allows you to hear clearly and express what it is you want to say through painting. In this series of workshops you will explore the basic elements and techniques when using paints; understanding safe practice and tapping into your inner artist.

Included in the price:  paints, paint brushes, paper towels/rags, palette, easels, drawing boards.

Your Host Rosi Di Meglio

Rosi Maria Di Meglio

Rosi Maria Di Meglio was born in Burnaby, British Colombia in 1971. She moved to Montreal, Quebec when she was five years old. She currently lives and works in Montreal, Quebec. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Double Major in Painting & Drawing and Art Education at Concordia University. Rosi has exhibited in several group exhibitions throughout Montreal and Vancouver.

An artistic talent which was suppressed for many years. With meditation she was able to find her true purpose; she finally began her artistic practice later in life after raising her six children. Her work began as a research project into her own identity as an artist, born from immigrant parents.

Rosi’s artist practice explores the relationship between space, colour and form. Experimenting with layers to transcend space whether deep or shallow. She is fascinated with shapes and forms rising to the surface through the layering process.

The use of layering elements to identify with the constant push and pull, the struggle, and the noise in everyday life, while considering moments of silence and retreat in its composition through space. She works to recreate a familiar dialogue, one that she is familiar with and which brings her balance.
